Minopex East Africa Operations Ltd, a leading specialist in the operation and maintenance of mineral processing facilities, is seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for a number of positions at the Kurmuk Gold Mine in Ethiopia.
Applications are invited from candidates with proven experience in gold processing operations, preferably within remote mining environments. Successful candidates must possess the relevant technical qualifications, demonstrated operational expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, site-based environment.
All appointments are subject to the successful completion of qualification verification, criminal background checks and pre-employment medical assessments.

PLANT MANAGER Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Mineral Processing environment at Plant Management level especially Gold Processing with experience in CIL/CIP, floatation, Autoclave and heap leach. A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.

PLANT ENGINEER Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in a gold processing plant, with experience in a Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) operation being advantageous. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or N6 with GCC with at least of 15 years’ experience preferably in a metallurgical plant., Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, asset management, and mining health and safety standards.

SENIOR METALLURGIST with a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 8 – 10 years’ technical and production experience in a hydrometallurgical mineral processing environment, of which 4 years’ must be as a Plant Metallurgist A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous.

TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT with Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Metallurgist / Process Engineer. PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT with 10 years’ experience in a plant production environment with advanced process operation knowledge and experience. A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous. Processing qualification and demonstrated operational experience in crushing, milling, gravity recovery, CIP, elution and Horizontal Belt Filter (HBF) operations will be advantageous. Understanding of gold recovery Optimisation, metallurgical accounting and plant performance monitoring with a Grade 12 , a National Certificate Mineral Processing Level 2 or related certificate.

MAINTENANCE PLANNER At least 10 years of experience on SAP, MAXIMO, ORACLE(PREVERED) and or ONKEY(PRAGMA)in a Maintenance Planning role Technique. Relevant Trade Test Certificate with 5 years’ experience as an Artisan and 2 years’ experience as a Foreman; or National Diploma Engineering with at least 5 years process plant experience

SHEQ MANAGER with a Degree or Diploma in SHEQ Management with 10 years’ experience and knowledge in plant operations withing the Mining industry. A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous.

GENERAL ENGINEERING SUPERINTENDENT a minimum of 10 years’ experience as an Engineering Supervisor/ Foreman. A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous. Experience in crushing, SAG and ball milling with a National Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) and a recognised Trade Test Certificate (Fitting & Turning or Electrical).

ENGINEERING FOREMAN MECHANICAL AND E&I Minimum 15 years’ experience in Mechanical maintenance with at least 8 - 10 years’ supervisory experience crushing, SAG and ball milling. a Grade 12 or equivalent and valid Section13 / Section 26 (D) Trade Test Certificate required. Experience:

ENGINEERING ARTISAN ELECTRICIAN Minimum of 15 years’ experience as a qualified Electrician Gold processing plant. Valid MV MQA Certification VSD and Soft Starter experience
ENGINEERING ARTISANS’ - BOILERMAKER, FITTER, RIGGER ROPESMAN, ELECTIRICAN, INSTRUMENT MECHANICIAN Minimum of 15 years’ experience as a qualified Artisans preferably in a Gold processing plant. Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent and valid Section 13 / Section 26 (D) Trade Test Certificate required

PROCESS SHIFT SUPERVISORS Minimum 8 years' experience in processing plant operations A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous. A Grade 12, National Certificate: Mineral Processing L2 or alternative. Skills Mineral Demonstrated ability to lead operational teams and proven experience supervising, running and optimising plant operations

PROCESS SECTION SUPERVISORS Minimum 5 years' experience in processing plant operations. A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous. Grade 12, National Certificate: Mineral Processing L2 or alternative Mineral with Proven experience running and optimising plant operations

CONTROL ROOM OPERATORS Minimum 5 years' experience in processing plant operations including 2 – 3 years experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous. Qualifications: Grade 12, National Certificate: Mineral Processing L2 or alternative Mineral with Strong process control and plant optimisation capability

PLANT METALLURGISTS Minimum 5 years' metallurgical experience in mineral processing operations including 2 – 3 years experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering with Strong analytical and operational support capability

TRAINING MANAGER Minimum of 8 years' experience in a Training and Development role within the mining, engineering, or heavy industry sector, with expertise in competency mapping and assessment, training needs analysis, skills development, mentoring and coaching, career development planning, and the development of training materials. Qualifications: Relevant Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma, with a Postgraduate Certificate in Training and Development or a related field being advantageous.

INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN with National Diploma S4 Electrical Engineering – Light Current with 8 years’ experience in the field. A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating a 290 000-ounce Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) gold processing plant is advantageous.
