Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

• Provide technical expertise in planning and design for new BSS solutions or optimization of existing solutions in line with the IT strategy execution plan. 

• Configure products on the system as defined by business teams ensuring SLAs are met. 

• Perform the necessary technical design and development functionality to ensure that business application systems can be effectively developed and implemented. 

• Drive implementation of BSS solutions and integration to various network elements

• Create test plans, test data sets and perform automated testing to ensure all components of the developed systems meet specifications.

• Timely delivery of project plans and architecture designs with the goal of ensuring high quality standards are met and solutions are operationally viable.

• Regular engagement & cooperation with other teams to ensure business requirements are captured clearly in the Functional Requirements Documents by the vendors.

• Review system changes and deployment with aim of minimizing negative impact of any change on commercial services and the network.

• Work directly with the other IT support teams to resolve issues identified and escalated during daily operations. Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents. Formalize test plans and implements troubleshooting procedures.

• Excellent systems analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills along with meeting facilitation skills 

• Functional Competencies:

• Domain experience in IT is a must with a bias towards business support systems such as CRM, order management, voucher management

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

• BSc. Degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Electrical & Electronics engineering/Computer Science/IT.

• 2 years’ experience a busy telecommunication/ IT environment or Software Engineering with good knowledge in planning for BSS Solutions such as CRM, Billing, Voucher Management

Desired 

• Working knowledge in Unix/Linux systems and Databases – Oracle, MySQL, Postgres.

• Working knowledge with Virtualized/cloud/cloud Native solutions
