Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Review, analyze, and provide input on system and technical design approaches, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and alignment with Oracle ERP base functionality.

  • Design, build, test, and deploy ERP components including interfaces, conversions, reports, workflows, and custom extensions.

  • Ensure effective integration of designs and developments across the ERP development team and related systems.

  • Monitor and support inbound and outbound interfaces to Oracle ERP, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing.

  • Provide third-line application support, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for recurring issues.

  • Configure and customize Oracle ERP applications to meet evolving business requirements using approved development and database tools.

  • Design and develop front-end, middle-tier, and back-end database components for enterprise business applications.

  • Participate in business requirements gathering and translating functional needs into technical and system designs.

  • Perform data modeling and define data structures to support application functionality and reporting requirements.

  • Support new and existing application development by delivering enhancements, modifications, and high-level system designs.

  • Conduct business user requirements analysis and prepare technical specifications based on the functional specifications provided by the business user.

  • Develop and execute technical designs to ensure effective implementation of business application systems.

  • Interact with internal clients and stakeholders to gather, clarify, and refine technical and functional requirements.

  • Create test plans, test cases, and test data sets with business users; perform unit, system, and regression testing, including automated testing where applicable.

  • Work closely with IT operations and support teams to resolve issues escalated during daily operations.

  • Formalize troubleshooting procedures, technical standards, and support documentation.

  • Provide training, mentoring, and technical guidance on Oracle ERP modules, development tools, and best practices.

  • Review and interpret Oracle technical documentation and assist in creating and updating Oracle Technical Assistance Requests (TARs).

  • Assist in system demonstrations and presentations to business users and new departments.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance technical and user documentation to support system usage and supportability.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.



Qualifications

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. 

  • Certification in database systems and RDBMS technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)).

  • Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on experience in Oracle ERP application development, including system customization and report development.

  • Strong experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) development.

  • Experience in IT processes, procedures, and application support environments.

  • Basic Unix/Linux user skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
