Job Description

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards within the kitchen and food preparation areas. The role supports kitchen operations by cleaning utensils, equipment, dishes, and work areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and assisting in the smooth functioning of the kitchen.

 

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, storage areas, and waste disposal areas.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies.
  • Remove waste and maintain hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and food safety regulations.
  • Support kitchen staff as required to ensure efficient operations.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality, or food service environment is an advantage.
