Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and engineering operations of the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained efficiently and safely to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the engineering and maintenance department.
  • Ensure all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities are properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
  • Supervise and support the maintenance team in carrying out repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
  • Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and supplies.
  • Prepare reports and assist with budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Ensure hotel facilities are maintained to high operational and safety standards.

Desired Skill & Expertise

  • Previous experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Good problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and maintenance regulations.
  • Professional attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies when required.
